In this webinar, we will cover endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR) and fenestrated-branched endovascular aortic aneurysm repair (F-BEVAR) for the treatment of aortic aneurysms. We will also explore possible complications of this treatment, highlighting endoleaks. Cases of how the use of contrast-enhanced ultrasound improved images will be presented with a brief explanation describing how the “bubbles” work. Lastly, a dive into the use of ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound within the vascular surgery practice of the aortic field will be reviewed.
- Introduce the optimal uses of ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound for aortic pathologies.
- Discuss the importance and benefits of contrast-enhanced ultrasound compared to CT.
- Review the limitations of contrast-enhanced ultrasound.
- Review how contrast-enhanced ultrasound improves vascular practice on treatments of aortic aneurysm.
